Youth Innovation Summit 17
July 14, 2017 @ 8:00 am - 2:00 pm AWST
Be part of envisioning structures that support youth innovation across Western Australia.
As young entrepreneurs and innovators are the leaders for tomorrow, it is essential that we provide the correct support structures and environment that will assist them to succeed. In partnership with all attendees, the objective is to co-create a roadmap for stimulating young entrepreneurs in Western Australia.
THE LINK was created by Edith Cowan University and the City of Joondalup as an innovate hub to grow business through research innovation and connections. Young entrepreneurs are vital to a developing society and THE LINK team at ECU are passionate about supporting this ecosystem. We believe that a vibrant youth innovation sector in Western Australia will benefit all parts of the economy.
In partnership with key stakeholders including Bloom, SEQTA, Cameron McDiven Brand Direction, City of Joondalup, ECU, EY, Just Start It, NEXTi, Schoolzine, Kidzucate, Hacker Pals and Student Edge; THE LINK will be hosting SUMMIT 17. This summit will be the first of its kind and aims to provide a vision/ framework for the youth innovation ecosystem in WA.
The program will be split into three. The first section will discuss the challenges facing the youth innovation ecosystem. The second section will look at opportunities to create a community vision of support to assist with the development of youth entrepreneurship and innovation. The third will briefly plan the steps needed to achieve this vision. There will be a mixture of short presentations from key stakeholders and group discussions. Attendees will be encouraged to actively participate in the discussions.
The organisers will collate the outputs from the day and generate an overview that will be circulated to attendees, key organisations and State Government in Western Australia.
