The purpose of THE LINK is to facilitate business growth through research, innovation and connections that will benefit the economy and wider community. THE LINK was created by Edith Cowan University in collaboration with the City of Joondalup. THE LINK is a catalyst to connect innovators, businesses and academic researchers. Our team at THE LINK understand the challenges faced running a business and we aim to support your business journey by facilitating connections to grow and prosper. We believe that through collaboration, innovative solutions can be sought to solve real-life problems, foster growth, competitiveness and facilitate commercialisation of ideas to benefit the wider community.
Located in one of Western Australia’s fastest growing regions just 25 minutes north of Perth are the City of Joondalup and the main campus of Edith Cowan University (ECU). Joondalup is a modern, master planned City, recognised as a major driver of economic growth with major health, education, business and retail precincts, with a stable, proactive local government. Not only is the Joondalup City Centre home to the founding sponsors of THE LINK – Edith Cowan University and the City of Joondalup, it is also boasts a number of additional key organisations which are all located in close proximity.

Depending on your needs, there may be some services or opportunities available through ECU which could involve a fee or commitment of funding. Those services or opportunities will only be suggested where they can provide the benefits or solutions you need and any fee or commitment of funding will be clearly outlined in advance.
THE LINK has been developed through collaboration between ECU and the City of Joondalup. ECU together with THE LINK sponsors, funds, promotes and develops THE LINK website and its operations. In some cases THE LINK may direct you to the website, information, events and/or services provided by third parties, including government agencies and the private sector.
