ECU Watermark GetLINKED! Series 2016 is a new and exciting program that aims to deliver thought-evoking stories from entrepreneurs, practical workshops, dynamic lectures and purposeful networking sessions aimed at inspiring entrepreneurship and linking the world of academia with the business community. The sessions are open to all business owners, start-up companies, ECU academic researchers, students and staff and members of the community. The venues for the sessions will include ECU campuses at Joondalup, Mount Lawley and other external venues within Perth, Western Australia.
GetLINKED! provides an opportunity for the business community to build and extend their quality networks. The series forms a complete educational program which aims to inspire attendees to consider launching a start-up business based on a new idea, or commercialising their academic research as well as identifying opportunities to conduct research and get students involved in business-orientated projects and work placements.
The City of Swan, in collaboration with ECU is hosting the 2016 National Economic Development Conference from October 5 to 7. Being held for the first time in Perth, the conference is an Economic Development Australia initiative focusing on supporting practitioners to increase the prosperity of Australian communities. The City of Swan and ECU encourages economic development practitioners and the business community to attend this event. In excess of 350 attendees are anticipated. The ECU Masterclass will run during the National Economic Development Conference and THE LINK sponsors will have the opportunity for brand acknowledgement and verbal recognition at the event.
The eighth annual ECU Research Week in September 2016 will showcase ECUs research, promoting research culture and encouraging collaboration and industry engagement. The Research Week program comprises of multidiscipline research activities such as industry showcase and panel discussions, The West Australian Lecture Series public lectures, interactive sessions, competitions and exhibitions.
