“We’ve grown our business from the ground up and we now have clients in every state of Australia. Our team commute here from all over Perth – with rail access making life easier for them. Joondalup has been our home base since day dot and it is the perfect location for a growing business. It’s self contained and you really don’t have to leave the City to do anything. Why would we want to be anywhere else?”

JOONDALUP’S ICT AND EDUCATION SECTOR
Joondalup is recognised by the Western Australian State Government as the main Strategic Metropolitan Centre in northern Perth and a major driver of economic growth. Joondalup offers an unrivalled environment for business growth. It is a modern, master planned city with major health, education, business and retail precincts and a stable, proactive local government.
Joondalup has one of the highest concentrations of education and training activity in Western Australia. The City’s Digital Strategy and location of major institutions such as Edith Cowan University, the ECU Security Research Institute and the North Metropolitan TAFE provide a strong foundation for developing ICT related industries including: Computing and Cyber Security; Software Development; and IT Systems.
This thriving education sector provides significant opportunities for businesses operating in sub sectors including Education Software and Systems; International Education; Specialist Education; Online Education; and Private Schooling.
SEQTA is a company taking full advantage of all that Joondalup has to offer. The company produces an award-winning suite of web-based applications that give schools a superior way of managing all aspects of teaching and learning.
Established in 2006 SEQTA is now helping pre-school, primary and secondary schools revolutionise education. Its software exists to make a real difference in the lives of teachers – to simplify their work and reduce their workloads. The spinoff is that teachers, with a smaller effort, can provide a much higher standard of communication with students and parents and a real focus on improved educational outcomes for students flows naturally as a result.
Teachers, as well as the school administrators, students and parents in schools around Australia are using the software on a daily basis:
- Over 430 Australian schools already benefit from the SEQTA Suite
- More than 30,000 teachers are currently using SEQTA’s software
SEQTA believes that better education will make this world a better place.
Originally modelled on teachers’ traditional documentation and workflows, the SEQTA Suite provides unprecedented efficiency and creates a highly collaborative teaching and learning environment. Students, parents and school administrators are cleverly woven into a remarkable ecosystem that allows teachers to achieve more with their precious time.
The success of SEQTA has been phenomenal with a multitude of prestigious awards and recognition including:
